Proprietor shares insurer’s reasoning behind non-renewal
“Any such automobile doesn’t meet our underwriting pointers.”
These have been GEICO’s phrases in a letter made public by Tesla Cybertruck proprietor Robert Stevenson when he was notified of the insurer’s resolution to not renew protection for the electrical automobile.
Notably, Stevenson has seven different automobiles on his coverage – all with protection GEICO is ready to present.
“We now have taken this motion for the next purpose(s): We’re unable to insure your 2024 TESLA CYBERTRUCK xxxxxxx as a result of any such automobile doesn’t meet our underwriting pointers.”
Stevenson, who described himself as having an “wonderful file,” sees the non-renewal transfer as a choice that “is mindless,” including that there are automobiles on the market that he believes are riskier than his Tesla Cybertruck.
Whereas GEICO didn’t elaborate on why it selected to not cowl Stevenson’s Tesla Cybertruck, Torque Information cited a number of points that might have influenced the choice, together with the time and prices required to get repairs executed.
