Ford avoids Canada walkout as UAW prepares for extra US auto strikes By Reuters

DETROIT (Reuters) -Ford reached a last-minute deal to keep away from a walkout at its Canadian operations late on Tuesday, because the United Auto Staff union ready for a possible enlargement of its U.S. strikes in opposition to the Detroit Three automakers.
